A new mid-engine layout distinguishes this eighth generation of Corvette from the previous seven generations. One of the best-performing cars according to Consumer Reports was the C8 Corvette.
The C8 Corvette was ranked third in Consumer Reports' latest top performers list. Among 100 vehicles tested, the C8 Corvette was ranked third by Consumer Reports. Based on these rankings, the new Vette ranks behind the BMW X5 (98 points) and ahead of the Audi A8 (96 points). This year's Consumer Reports road test rated the BMW 7 Series as the best car on the market with a score of 99.
Each vehicle receives more than 50 individual evaluations for the Consumer Reports Overall Score. Consumer Reports was impressed with the C8 Corvette's acceleration, handling, braking, and transmission performance. In addition, the sports car's fit and finish were praised. Owner satisfaction is predicted to be 5 out of 5 based on the prediction. Consumer Reports measured a sprint time of 3.4 seconds from zero to 60 mph.
As well as its poor side and rear visibility, Consumer Reports criticized the C8 Corvette's challenging cabin entry. We gave it a score of one out of five for predicted reliability. As well as giving one out of five to the trunk and cargo areas, we also gave one out of five to the interior.
As It should be noted that the C8 Corvette Stingray is driven by an atmospheric 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine. With the performance exhaust, output rises to 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque at 5,150 rpm from 490 horsepower in standard trim. Through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, power is transmitted to the rear wheels. C8 Corvettes are built on Y2 platforms.
